Abstract
In recent years there have appeared numerous publications dealing with intestinal helminth of dogs and the relationships of these helminths to public health. Although several species of helminths that normally infect dogs recently have be found to infect humans, most of these parasites are unable to complete their life cycles in man and are destined to wander aimlessly through tissues, bringing about a condition known as visceral larva migrans. The importance of such helminths as Toxocara canis and Ancylostoma canium in relation to human disease has been pointed out by Beaver et al. (1952) and Beaver (1956, 1959).
