Abstract
The purpose of this study has been: (a) to present a systematic treatment of those members of the genus Penstemon that are found in New Mexico; (b) to give a full description of each species including a consideration of its relationships with other species of the genus; (c) to ascertain and map, in so far as possible, the distribution of the various species in New Mexico.
