Abstract

A PowerPoint presentation of the findings from a study done by the UNM Bureau of Business and Economic Research and UNM-Taos on the Taos regions business assets. The Taos economic region is described and illustrated with maps. Using a location quotient analysis, pull factors for local industries and resulting leakage were determined. Results of a survey of Taos businesses are also discussed. Recommendations for the business community are given: capitalizing on the region's assets; attracting industries with higher employment multipliers; and stopping leakages.'
