Abstract
This report examines long-term demographic and economic trends in Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance, and Valencia counties from 1970 through the late 1990s. The study analyzes population growth, employment patterns, income, poverty, economic diversification, commuting relationships, and regional development to provide context for future planning and policy decisions.
