Abstract
The report reviews the history, geology, exploration, mining, milling, resource potential, market outlook, socioeconomic significance, environmental impacts, and regulatory framework of uranium development in the state. Special emphasis is given to the Grants Mineral Belt, the nation's largest uranium-producing region, as well as emerging resource areas throughout the San Juan Basin and other geologic provinces of New Mexico.
