Abstract
Information on the Native American Studies department as it is found in the 2018-2019 University Catalog. Located within the University College, this department was instituted in 1998, partly out of the previously instituted Native American Studies Center. While collaborating with Native communities and nation building, the department also aims “to educate and inform students about the Native experience that comes from the rich cultural heritage of sovereign Indigenous peoples of the United States.”
