Abstract
Coming from the UNM Department of Economics, this investigation aimed to show and articulate the value proposition of undergraduate students attending Main Campus in the 2016-17 school year, as well as further notes on the value proposition the years making up the decade prior. As mentioned in the executive summary (page 2), a value proposition expresses "the difference between what they can expect to get spent on them (average annual student-centered expenditures per FTE), and what the average full-time undergraduate student actually pays in tuition and fees," and the investigation concludes that "UNM represents an exceptional undergraduate value proposition." To fully recognize the aspects at work here, the investigation considers both the general university trends of student-centered expenditures as well as other factors like scholarships and student debt.
