These recordings are part of the Center for Southwest Research Anselmo Arellano collection. The recordings conducted mostly by Anselmo Arellano were of regional events that Arellano was closely associated with. This series also includes other recordings done by or collected by Anselmo Arellano related his research on the social history/culture of New Mexico. Arellano's intentions were to document and transfer community traditions, artistic expressions, and knowledge for educational purposes.
