Abstract
A particular small manufacturing company in New Mexico was selected for the study. The Company was incorporated in 1956 after a short history as a partnership. The primary objectives of this Company were assumed to be: (1) to operate profitably, (2) to provide a good outlet for the talents and skills of the incorporators, (3) to establish a reputation as a high-quality manufacturer, and (4) to allow self-determination on the part of the incorporators. These objectives established the needs or secondary objectives of efficient plant and equipment, a satisfactory volume of sales, and a skilled work force. The secondary objectives created the need for capital.
