View of the commercial and financial district of the Cidade ha ixa. At the top left is the Mercado Modelo (Model Market), formerly the customs house in the Praça Cairu. Today it houses thousands of small stands and shops selling local and regional handicrafts and products.Vista do bairro comercial e financeiro da Cidade Baixa. No topo à esquerda, está o Mercado Modelo, a antiga alfândega na Praça Cairu. Hoje abriga centenas de pequenas barracas e lojas vendendo trabalhos artesanais e produtos locais e regionais.
