Abstract

This report analyzes the demographic characteristics and tax base of the South Valley area of Bernalillo County in anticipation of possible municipal incorporation. Using population, income, housing, gross receipts tax, and property tax data, the study estimates the revenue potential and fiscal capacity of a prospective South Valley municipality.
