Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the demand for a greater state park recreational development program in New Mexico, to emphasize its social and economic values, and to understand the main functions of a state park resort. These findings will be incorporated into the design of a state park resort located at one of the existing state parks. The design will include a lodge, boat dock, several cabins, general store, a cafe, and housing for the custodian. There will be no design for camping and picnicking other than an allocation of land for that purpose
