Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is fourfold: 1) to determine the non-harmonic nomenclature in harmony textbooks published in the United States since 1920, 2) to correlate and organize this material so that a valid comparison of terms can be made, 3) to summarize these results, and 4) to offer recommendations.
