Abstract

Sister Mary Madeleva Wolff has been hailed as the outstanding nun poet of our time. She has been lauded by contemporary authors, both Catholic and non-Catholic. Critics have recognized in her the strength and warmth of original genius. She is master of a variety of themes and poetic patterns. As a lyricist she employs her skill in poems that range from the simplest to more complex, from classical forms of free verse.
