Description

Several streetboys next to the dock in the port of Belem hanging out. Called pivetes or menores abandonados, these children are schooled in crime and their numbers continue to increase at alarming rates in urban areas. Efforts have been made in recent years to confront this problem, yet much remains to be done.Várias crianças de rua perto do cais no porto de Belém. Chamados pivetes ou menores abandonados, essas crianças são escoladas no crime e o número delas continua a crescer de maneira alarmante nas áreas urbanas. Tem havido esforços nestes últimos anos para confrontar o problema, mas muito resta para ser feito.
