Abstract
This report provides a data-driven economic assessment and growth projection for the State of New Mexico and the Albuquerque metropolitan area through 1991. Compiled by the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of New Mexico, the briefing pairs historical data with statistical charts to track sharp contractions across the state's mining and construction sectors during the mid-1980s, while modeling long-term economic stabilizing trends tied directly to expanding services employment and federal spending allocations.
