Abstract
This economic analysis measures the financial footprint of the University of New Mexico (UNM) on the Albuquerque economy during the 1974 calendar year. Utilizing localized institutional spending data, random student surveys, and conservative regional multipliers, the study estimates that UNM generated a total local economic impact ranging from $156 million to over $206 million.
