Abstract

The research focused on 13 technical occupations, including drafting, electronics, manufacturing technologies, welding, construction management, instrumentation and control, hazardous materials, wastewater treatment, and nondestructive testing. Three surveys were conducted: a survey of women graduates from 1985-1988, a survey of employers who hired those graduates, and a survey of New Mexico firms likely to employ workers in these technical fields.
