Abstract

The problem of this thesis is to define certain characteristics of cultural integration (1) to survey some of the anthropological sources which discuss the problem of cultural integration; (2) to provide a framework of theory and method for analyzing cultural systems; and (3) to test this framework by applying it to a sample of empirical cultural data.
