The Nepal Study Center at the University of New Mexico is dedicated to fostering policy research, intellectual collaboration, and knowledge sharing with a focus and wider perspective on development, democracy, conflict, and the environment. It strives to promote a scholarly global network of researchers and practitioners who are interested in the socio-economic and political economy of Himalayan states and societies in South Asia. NSC's activities include: research, journal publications (JHDD and LDNB), an online research repository, policy debates, educational collaboration, and workshops and conferences.
