El saumerio y preparaciones para las fiestas de Santa Ana; los casorios y las celebraciones con muchas comidas tradicionales. Her life in Colorado close to one of her sisters who died of tisis [TB]. Men of Las Truchas migrated to neighboring states for seasonal employment, women stayed at home to work in the fields and take care of the sheep. All neighbors helped each other with the ranch chores. She used to have horses, pigs, goats, and sheep. Her neighbors used to help her and she used to share the meat and animal products with them. Memories about her parents and their life in the ranch, the custom of dressing in black for long periods of time to mourn the passing of a family member. Poverty and rudimentary clay houses, no electricity only candles and lamps. La comida frecuente en el rancho: beef and pork jerky, tortillas. Talking about the high cost of living and industrialization, the unfair distribution of federal aid, and the threat of water shortages. She didn't go to school but she always had a job. The generosity of la gente de antes: siempre tenían comida preparada para brindar a los visitantes.
