Abstract
The purpose of this effort was (1) to study the purpose and operation of Freedom High School, (2) to ascertain its philosophical base and compare it with prevalent theories of education, (3) to analyze the performance of its teachers and students, (4) to experience the Freedom High experiment personally by teaching at the school, (5) to address its implications for secondary education in the future, and (6) to comment and recommend future directions for the school.
