Abstract
Since the workbook is a comparatively recent development, it is advisable to give a comprehensive review of its inception, growth, and acceptance. Conservatives are inclined to look askance upon innovations in every field, and as this is particularly true in the field of education, widely differing opinions have been presented in my discussion of the problem.
