Abstract
Boron hydrides were first described and characterized by Stock (1). His early work has led to the proposal of about twenty new, distinctly identifiable hydrides (2). Of the proposed hydrides, it has been established that diborane-6 (B2H6), tetraborane-10 (B4H10), and nonaborane-15 (B9H15) contain bridged BH2 groups in the boron hydride framework (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9). The proposed structures for these compounds is shown in fig. 1 (2,10).
