The Amazonas theatre and opera house, built in 188 1 during the rubber boom, was recent1y restored to its former splendor. Its chandeliers, mirrors, banisters and marble floors were imported from the finest locations in Europe.O Teatro do Amazonas, construído em 1881 durante o surto da borracha, foi recentemente restaurado em seu esplendor original. Seus candelabros, espelhos, balaustradas e pisos de mármore foram importados dos melhores centros da Europa.
