Abstract
It is the purpose of this study (1) to ascertain the amount of visual art offered the Negro in the elementary public schools of the South; (2) to determine the qualifications of those who present the work to the pupils; and (3) to discover the type of work executed, as revealed through direct observation and a questionnaire study.
