Abstract

It is the purpose of this study to present a history of the certification requirements as they have been advanced step by step since 1863 and to point out the factors which have suggested additional requirements, so that all groups of persons concerned may arrive at a fair and satisfactory understanding of the teacher certification problem in Arizona.
