Description

Waiting for the bus at the regional and city bus terminal. Large numbers of workers carne from the impoverished Northeast to help construct Brasília and work in the service industries. Most of these wo rkers were housed in the "satellite cities: such as Taguatinga or Ceilândia and even after the construction of Brasília was completed, many opted to stay. Given the high cost of living in Brasília, the lower class residents have been forced to commute back and forth from these "satellite cities."Esperando por um ónibus no terminal de ónibus regional e da cidade. Grande número de trabalhadores veio do empobrecido Nordeste para ajudar a construir Brasília e para trabalhar na indústria de serviços. A maioria destes trabalhadores foi alojada nas "cidades-satélite", tais como Taguatinga ou Ceilândia. Mesmo após a construção de Brasília ter sido completada, muitos optaram por permanecer. Em razão do alto custo de vida em Brasília, os indivíduos das classes mais baixas têm sido forçados a movimentar-se entre Brasília e as "cidades-satélite".
