Abstract
An economic assessment of the Artesia, New Mexico, downtown MainStreet district and regional trade area. Local demographic and housing characteristics, as well as regional economic conditions are analyzed. Gross receipts tax data are examined by each industrial sector to determine pull factors, and employment by industry, occupation, and business ownership is measured to determine location quotients. Illustrated with data tables, maps, and charts.
